EPS Upgrades CommandCore 2026.2 with AI to Improve Packaging Plant Operations
eProductivity Software (EPS) has launched CommandCore 2026.2, the latest version of its integrated software platform designed to help packaging manufacturers preserve operational expertise and improve plant efficiency through artificial intelligence (AI).
The update addresses the growing challenge of knowledge transfer as experienced estimators, planners, and operators retire, enabling companies to capture best practices and standardize workflows across estimating, planning, production, and customer service.
CommandCore 2026.2 strengthens the platform’s core capabilities, including ERP Foundation, Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Control Systems, and Smart Scheduling.
Craig Tait, Chief Product Officer at EPS, said the latest release enables packaging manufacturers to preserve valuable operational knowledge and apply it consistently throughout the business.
One of the key enhancements is Radius Estimating, which introduces predefined routing templates. These templates allow senior estimators to configure best-practice production routes once and automatically apply them across future estimates, ensuring greater consistency and reducing manual effort.
For label and tag converters, Paxis ERP expands AI-powered dynamic translation across business workflows, helping companies streamline multilingual operations.
The update also modernizes the Corrugated MES with MES Hub, a browser-based interface that gives planners, supervisors, and plant managers access to production orders, machine lineups, trim analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs) from any web-enabled device.
A major AI-driven addition is Trim Advisor Web, which analyzes historical production data to recommend optimal roll widths and material combinations. The system provides confidence scores and cost visibility to help corrugator planners reduce waste and improve material utilization.
EPS has also enhanced AC4D Packing Station Advanced by integrating it with robotic palletizing systems. The software automatically evaluates quality checks, applies routing rules, assigns pallets, records production transactions in real time, and prints pallet labels without manual intervention.
Another new feature, Order Promising in PrintFlow 4D, enables customer service teams to generate accurate delivery commitments by simulating new orders against live production schedules. PrintFlow 4D also introduces task grouping and print-change optimization to improve production efficiency.
Within Radius ERP, AI capabilities have been expanded through the Estimate Win Predictor, which ranks quotations based on their likelihood of conversion, allowing sales teams to prioritize high-potential opportunities. The platform also includes a Customer Churn Predictor that identifies accounts at risk of attrition, enabling proactive customer retention efforts.
Additionally, the new Pack AI conversational assistant is embedded directly within Radius ERP screens, providing users with real-time guidance and workflow support without leaving the application.
Why this matters for the corrugated packaging industry
The latest CommandCore update offers significant benefits for corrugated packaging manufacturers by combining AI, automation, and browser-based production management. Features such as AI-powered trim optimization, smarter production scheduling, robotic palletizer integration, and predictive business analytics can help plants improve operational efficiency, reduce material waste, preserve workforce expertise, and enhance customer service—making this a positive development for the corrugated packaging industry.
