Packsize to Acquire Panotec, Expanding Global Right-Sized Packaging Solutions

Salt Lake City, USA: Automated packaging solutions provider Packsize has announced plans to acquire the packaging business of Italian machinery manufacturer Panotec, a move aimed at expanding its portfolio of right-sized packaging technologies and strengthening its global market presence.

The acquisition will significantly enhance Packsize’s range of high- and low-automation packaging systems while increasing its installed customer base across more than 50 countries in North America, Europe, and other international markets.

According to Packsize, the deal will provide businesses with greater flexibility in selecting packaging automation solutions that improve operational efficiency while reducing packaging waste and costs.

Brian Reinhart, Chief Revenue Officer at Packsize, said the acquisition aligns with the company’s long-term growth strategy by expanding customer choice and bringing together two organizations with a shared vision for innovation in right-sized packaging. He added that the combined expertise will help accelerate global growth and deliver greater value to customers.

The acquisition follows Packsize’s purchase of Sparck Technologies in April 2025, which strengthened its portfolio with advanced fit-to-size box systems and automated box-last, lid, and tray packaging solutions.

Kellen Frey, Chief Operating Officer of Packsize, said integrating Panotec’s technology and expertise will further strengthen the company’s core capabilities and enable it to deliver more scalable, efficient, and high-quality packaging solutions worldwide.

Carlo Capoia, Vice President of Panotec, welcomed the agreement, stating that combining the strengths of both companies will offer customers an even broader range of packaging solutions backed by enhanced service and support.

The transaction is expected to close after customary regulatory approvals and consultation processes with applicable employee unions are completed.
