PackMojo Expands Custom Packaging Portfolio with Protective Box Liner Inserts
Hong Kong – September 8, 2026 – Custom printed packaging manufacturer PackMojo has expanded its packaging portfolio with the launch of Custom Box Liner Inserts, designed to provide additional cushioning and structural support for products during transit.
Available through PackMojo’s online configuration and quoting platform, the new liner inserts are designed to line the inner walls of boxes, creating a protective barrier around products that require additional support. The solution is particularly suited to cosmetics, beauty products, luxury goods and consumer electronics.
The inserts are manufactured using paperboard and corrugated materials and can be lithographically printed with soy-based inks. FSC-certified material options are also available for qualifying orders, with a minimum order quantity of 500 units.
Designed for Added Protection
Unlike outer shipping boxes, the liner inserts are designed to reinforce the inside of existing packaging. PackMojo positions them primarily as a complement to folding cartons, helping brands protect fragile inner packaging while maintaining a polished unboxing experience.
The inserts are shipped flat, helping reduce storage and transportation requirements before assembly. PackMojo recommends using an outer shipping carton when the packaged product is transported through parcel networks.
Standard dimensions range from 0.75 to 8 inches in length and width and up to 12 inches in height, with custom sizes evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Brands can also test the packaging before committing to production through PackMojo’s range of structural samples, simplified samples, pre-production samples, print proofs and press proofs.
“Cosmetics and beauty brands frequently report damage claims involving fragile inner packaging, and a liner that hugs the inner wall of the box addresses that before the product ever leaves the warehouse,” said Wendy Chan, CEO of PackMojo. “We built this specifically to pair with folding cartons because that combination gives a brand both a clean unboxing moment and a physical cushion, without asking them to redesign their outer packaging.”
Supporting Packaging at Scale
PackMojo says the new product is aimed at brands scaling from individual products to larger product ranges, where standardized protective components can help simplify packaging across multiple SKUs.
The flat-shipping design can also help brands manage freight and storage requirements as volumes increase. According to PackMojo, the liner inserts complement its existing portfolio of foam and molded pulp inserts, which are designed for different structural protection requirements.
The launch further expands the company’s custom box inserts portfolio, with its packaging design team developing inserts to fit individual products rather than providing generic void-fill solutions.
“Brands moving from a single hero product to a full line often need a packaging component they can standardize across SKUs, and a liner that ships flat until assembly keeps freight and storage costs predictable as they scale,” Chan added.
Available with FSC-Certified Materials
Custom Box Liner Inserts are now available through PackMojo’s online configurator. Buyers can select dimensions, request quotations and order structural or print samples before moving into production.
Pricing is calculated based on factors including size, material, finish and order quantity, rather than being offered at a fixed published rate. FSC-certified material is available on qualifying orders starting at 500 units, while soy-based ink is standard for the product.
The launch adds another protective packaging option for brands seeking to combine product protection, customized branding and more efficient packaging logistics within their existing box formats.
