Logson Group, the UK’s largest independent manufacturer of corrugated packaging, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Playford Packaging, an independent sheet plant based in Wrexham, North Wales.
Moving into the Welsh market for the first time, Logson Group has confirmed the existing management team at Playford Packaging will remain with the business, continuing to lead Playford Packaging as a stand-alone business within the Logson Group.

Owned by the Morris family, Playford Packaging was established in 1980 and has an enviable reputation for its capabilities and service levels in the corrugated packaging sector.

Playford Packaging will join the existing Logson Group brands of Board24, Boxes and Packaging, Cases24, Jardin Corrugated, Red Rose Packaging, Boxshop, The Cardboard Box Company, Durham Box, Challenge Packaging and Kbins.
Collectively they form a unique mix of companies offering a full range of corrugated packaging solutions from over 20 locations across the UK.
Logson Group has a turnover of over £400m per annum and employs over 1200 people.
During the acquisition, Playford Packaging was advised by Grant Thornton, and Logson Group by Browne Jacobson.
