The acquisition will add approximately 230,000 tonnes of recycled fibre-based cartonboard capacity and strengthen MM’s production network and supply security.

MM Board & Paper has signed an agreement with the R.D.M. Group to acquire the operating business of the R.D.M. Arnsberg recycled fibre-based cartonboard mill in Germany through an asset deal. The Arnsberg mill has an annual production capacity of about 230,000 tonnes of recycled fibre-based cartonboard and is particularly specialised in the production of liner products. The transaction represents an investment in MM’s core business and complements its existing production network.

By integrating the Arnsberg mill into its established industrial platform in Germany, comprising several cartonboard mills and packaging plants, MM expects to realise significant synergies that should facilitate the turnaround of the mill. In addition, the acquisition is expected to increase production flexibility, improve security of supply, and further broaden the product and service offering for customers.

All employees at the Arnsberg mill will be transferred to MM. The purchase price has not been disclosed.

The acquisition remains subject to the receipt of the required antitrust approvals. From today’s perspective, closing of the transaction is expected in the 4th quarter of 2026.
