Canon to Showcase Expanding Label and Packaging Press Portfolio at LOUPE Americas 2026
Canon U.S.A. will showcase its expanding portfolio of label and packaging printing technologies at LOUPE Americas 2026, scheduled to take place from September 15 to 17 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois. At Booth 6000, the company will highlight solutions spanning digital printing, flexographic printing, converting and large-format production, with a focus on helping packaging producers meet changing market requirements.
A key highlight of Canon’s exhibit will be the LabelLine Series from Edale, a Canon company. The event will mark the first time Canon officially presents Edale and its LabelLine platform as part of its broader print and packaging portfolio at a major U.S. industry event. The modular LabelLine platform combines flexographic printing and converting and is designed to support short-, medium- and long-run production. According to Canon, the integrated approach can help reduce production touchpoints and manual intervention while giving converters greater flexibility as job requirements evolve.
Lachlan Buirds, managing director of Edale, said the LabelLine FL4p is designed to bring flexographic printing and converting together within an integrated production platform. He added that the solution can help converters reduce production touchpoints and manual intervention, improve workflow efficiency, increase flexibility and streamline short-run production as customer requirements change.
Canon will also offer an early look at two next-generation digital production technologies currently under development: the LabelStream LS2000 and corrPRESS iB17. Both systems are not yet commercially available. Their inclusion at the event will provide visitors with an insight into Canon’s ongoing development of digital solutions for label and packaging applications.
The company’s showcase will also feature its Colorado M-series large-format printers, which are designed for labels, packaging graphics and specialty applications, along with the imagePROGRAF GP-2600S. For desktop label production, Canon will present the LX-D400 4-inch printer and LG-P800, which can produce labels up to 8 inches wide.
An applications gallery and dedicated packaging zone will demonstrate how different technologies across Canon’s portfolio can be integrated into packaging workflows. A consumer gift-package demonstration will feature output produced using Edale’s LabelLine and CartonLine systems, Colorado and imagePROGRAF printers, Canon desktop label printers and the imagePRESS V1350. The showcased applications will include labels, cartons, mailers, point-of-purchase displays and package inserts.
Kiyoshi Oka, executive vice president and general manager of the Marketing Strategy Unit at Canon U.S.A., said label and packaging production is continuing to evolve as brands seek greater flexibility and faster turnaround times. He added that Canon’s presence at LOUPE Americas 2026 will demonstrate a comprehensive portfolio that combines digital printing, finishing and converting technologies to support the changing needs of packaging producers.
