Amtech Introduces New Software Capabilities to Support Revenue Growth for Corrugated Manufacturers
Amtech, a provider of AI-powered software solutions for the corrugated packaging industry, has launched a new suite of capabilities designed to help manufacturers manage hand assembly operations, contract packaging services and value-added fulfillment activities from a centralized platform.
The launch comes as corrugated producers face growing cost pressures from rising containerboard and sheet prices while customers increasingly demand broader packaging solutions, including kits, displays, pack-out services, fulfillment and contract packaging. By expanding into these higher-value services, manufacturers can diversify revenue streams, strengthen customer relationships and reduce their dependence on fluctuating material costs.
The new offering includes two levels of functionality. The first, EnCore Assembled Products, is designed to support assembled products such as kits, displays, sets and other hand-assembly workflows. The second, EnCore Contract Packaging, builds on these capabilities by providing tools for more complex contract packaging and co-manufacturing operations, including management of customer-supplied materials, component tracking, production reconciliation, variance monitoring and audit support.
Amtech has also expanded its Advanced Planning Board with new scheduling tools for hand assembly operations. The enhanced functionality allows manufacturers to coordinate converting and assembly activities within a single planning environment, improving visibility into labor requirements, production capacity, crew allocation and workflow dependencies.
According to Danna Nelson, Senior Vice President of Products at Amtech, the company developed the solution in collaboration with industry partners to simplify the planning, scheduling, execution and tracking of assembled products and contract packaging operations. The new capabilities are intended to help customers improve operational efficiency while expanding the range of services they can offer.
By integrating these workflows into the EnCore platform and Advanced Planning Board, Amtech aims to eliminate the inefficiencies associated with spreadsheets, custom-built databases and third-party logistics software not specifically designed for corrugated manufacturing. The unified platform enables plants to manage product structures, inventory, assembly lines, scheduling and production reporting within a single system.
The launch forms part of Amtech’s broader strategy to help corrugated manufacturers capture new business opportunities through diversified products and value-added services. The company currently supports more than 1,250 packaging and label manufacturing facilities worldwide with ERP, MES and CRM software solutions tailored to the packaging industry.
