APP Group and Charta Global Strengthen Access to Sustainable Paperboard Packaging in the U.S.

Louisville, 2026: As U.S. brands and retailers accelerate the shift from plastic to paper-based packaging, APP Group and Charta Global Inc. are expanding access to paperboard solutions designed to address the industry’s growing demands for sustainability, supply reliability and commercial efficiency.

The companies showcased their capabilities during the PPC Spring Meeting 2026 in Louisville, where they engaged with packaging industry stakeholders, brands and supply-chain partners seeking reliable paperboard solutions for a wide range of applications.

As APP Group’s exclusive sales channel, Charta Global highlighted its U.S. stocking program, which enables customers across the country to access paperboard products with immediate availability. The program includes APP Group’s portfolio of premium C1S and C2S Folding Box Board (FBB), food-grade FBB, recycled FBB, cigarette and tobacco FBB, and PE-free barrier-coated FBB base paper.

These solutions are designed to serve packaging applications across food, foodservice and other sectors where brands are increasingly looking to replace conventional plastic packaging with paper-based alternatives.

The PPC Spring Meeting also provided an opportunity for APP Group and Charta Global to gain insights into evolving market requirements and demonstrate how their combined capabilities can support the growth of the U.S. packaging sector.

Today’s packaging customers are seeking more than product quality. They increasingly require consistent availability, faster delivery, cost efficiency and improved environmental performance from their suppliers. Through Charta Global’s distribution network and APP Group’s paperboard portfolio, the companies aim to help brands adopt paper-based packaging solutions that are commercially viable while supporting sustainability objectives.

The companies’ sustainability efforts are also connected to APP Group’s Regenesis platform, which reflects its broader commitment to responsible forestry, communities and the value chain.

Under the Forest Positive Policy, an initiative within Regenesis, APP Group focuses on areas including forest conservation and restoration, community empowerment and responsible supply-chain management. These efforts form part of the company’s long-term approach to building a more sustainable packaging and forestry ecosystem.

With demand for paper-based alternatives continuing to grow in the U.S. market, APP Group and Charta Global are positioning their combined supply capabilities and paperboard technologies to support brands navigating the transition toward more sustainable packaging.
