ROTOCON USA Expands Footprint with First US RFP Flexo Press Installation
US label converter LabelTec has become the first company in the United States to install a ROTOCON RFP flexographic press, marking an important milestone for ROTOCON USA as it expands its presence in the North American label printing market.
The installation replaces older flexographic equipment with a fully servo-driven ROTOCON RFP press featuring automatic pre-register and registration controls. The upgrade is expected to improve production efficiency, shorten setup times, deliver greater print consistency, and enhance repeatability across print jobs.
According to ROTOCON USA, the transition was designed to help LabelTec modernize its production without placing additional financial pressure on the business. By accepting the company’s existing press as a trade-in, the investment was structured to minimize capital costs while enabling access to advanced flexographic printing technology.
The new press is expected to provide significant operational benefits, including faster job changeovers, more precise adjustments, and increased confidence during press checks and repeat production runs.
Beyond the equipment installation, ROTOCON USA managed the project as a turnkey solution aimed at reducing production disruption throughout the upgrade process. The company also highlighted its growing North American support network, including local spare parts availability and expanded technical service capabilities.
Further strengthening its regional presence, ROTOCON USA is preparing to open its North American Demonstration Centre in New Jersey this August. The facility will showcase a working servo-driven flexographic press alongside digital finishing and converting systems, allowing converters to conduct live demonstrations, material testing, and application-specific trials.
The installation reflects the growing demand among label converters for advanced automation, improved print quality, and greater manufacturing efficiency in today’s competitive packaging and label printing industry.
