Parkside Replaces Polymer Packaging with Fully Recyclable Paper Wrapper for Sofi’s Cookies

The new paper-based wrapper provides effective grease and oxygen barrier protection, helping maintain cookie freshness while preventing butter stains during transportation. It also features high-quality printed branding for a luxury resort chain with properties across Spain and Greece, combining premium presentation with improved environmental performance.

The development comes as European packaging regulations increasingly emphasize recyclability. By introducing a paper-based flexible packaging solution, Parkside aims to help brands meet future regulatory requirements without compromising product protection or shelf appeal.

Ian McManus, Sales Account Manager at Parkside, said the shift toward recyclable packaging makes premium paper solutions an ideal choice for businesses looking to future-proof their products. He added that fully recyclable paper materials can deliver both luxury aesthetics and sustainability.

Sofia Tselepidou, Managing Director of Sofi’s Cookies, said Parkside successfully translated the bakery’s brand values into a packaging solution that reflects its commitment to quality and sustainability.

The latest innovation highlights the growing adoption of recyclable paper packaging as food brands seek environmentally responsible alternatives to traditional flexible packaging while maintaining product performance and premium branding.
