INX Europe is set to unveil a new digital, water-based ink designed specifically for corrugated packaging applications at the FESPA Global Print Expo. The product will be showcased at booth 3-C143 from May 19–22 at Fira Gran Via in Barcelona.

This launch marks a significant step in the company’s product evolution, transitioning from production readiness to broader market adoption. According to Stefano Rogora, the European corrugated packaging sector has seen steady growth over the past five years, driven largely by the rapid expansion of e-commerce and increasing demand from brand owners for flexible designs, versioning, and shorter print runs.

The introduction of INXJet KECB builds on INX Europe’s momentum from last year’s FESPA event, where four next-generation, high-performance inkjet inks were launched. This year, three of those solutions—INXJet E32 Eco-Solvent, I32 UV LED Curable, and T32 UV LED Curable inks—will also be featured.

Developed with both performance and sustainability in mind, KECB is suitable for printing on a wide range of paper and cellulosic substrates. It is compatible with printers equipped with Kyocera KJ4B printheads, ensuring versatility across various production setups.

The new ink further strengthens INX Europe’s portfolio at a time when converters are seeking more agile solutions with reduced setup times and the capability to handle increasingly complex and variable print jobs. Rogora emphasized that sustainability is now a key driver in the industry, with corrugated packaging gaining preference due to its recyclability and fiber-based composition. These factors, combined with evolving regulations, are accelerating the adoption of digital printing technologies within the sector.

In addition, INXJet T32 UV Curable inks—introduced last year—have earned GREENGUARD Gold Certification, confirming compliance with stringent indoor air quality standards. This certification makes them suitable for use in sensitive environments such as schools, healthcare facilities, offices, retail spaces, and other public indoor areas.

Marco Zanella noted that the certification highlights the company’s commitment to delivering high-performance inkjet solutions that combine excellent print quality, productivity, and low-emission performance for indoor applications.

Alongside these developments, INX Europe’s UV INXJet premium technologies continue to offer enhanced flexibility for applications such as short-run production, prototyping, and visual communication on board materials.
