Mondi is set to highlight its latest sustainable packaging innovations at Interpack 2026 through a collaborative approach involving 15 original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
Rather than a single standalone booth, Mondi’s solutions will be showcased across multiple partner stands, where visitors can see its materials in action on live production machinery.
By partnering closely with OEMs, Mondi ensures its packaging materials are tailored for real-world manufacturing conditions. This approach supports brand owners and converters in adopting more sustainable and material-efficient packaging without compromising operational efficiency, product safety, or supply chain performance.
Mondi’s presence will span a broad spectrum of applications, including packaging for coffee, dried foods, home and personal care products, pet food, beverages, eCommerce, and transport. These collaborations demonstrate how combining advanced materials with machine expertise can deliver scalable, future-ready packaging solutions.
A key highlight is Mondi’s collaboration with Hugo Beck, where a new machine for kraft paper bundling will be introduced. Designed for transport and secondary packaging, the system offers an alternative to plastic shrink film and excessive carton use. It will run using Mondi’s Ad/Vantage StretchWrap paper, a 70 g/m² uncoated kraft paper known for its strength, stretchability, and resistance to tearing and punctures, while remaining recyclable in standard paper streams.
Additional partners, including Rovema, Mespack, Meurer Verpackungssysteme, Viking Masek, and Krones, will also demonstrate Mondi’s diverse material portfolio. This includes paper-based, plastic, coated barrier, and corrugated packaging solutions, allowing visitors to evaluate performance, recyclability, and efficiency across different formats.
Elisabeth Schwaiger, Head of Innovation for Mondi Flexible Packaging, emphasised that the event provides a unique platform to showcase how material innovation and machinery integration can work together. She noted that these collaborations enable visitors to explore practical packaging solutions that align with evolving sustainability goals.
