Hugo Beck is set to introduce an innovative sleeve wrapping solution at interpack 2026, showcasing the new “paper S” machine at Stand A74 in Hall 11. Designed for sustainable transport and secondary packaging, this compact system uses paper as an alternative to conventional plastic and cardboard materials.
As industries increasingly look for environmentally responsible packaging solutions, the paper S enables tightly wrapped kraft paper bundles, with or without trays. This approach offers a secure, resource-efficient option suitable for various sectors, including fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and retail-ready packaging applications.
The launch marks a significant addition to Hugo Beck’s expanding range of sustainable paper-based technologies, now extending into transport packaging. It reflects the company’s commitment to reducing material consumption while maintaining high standards of product protection, operational efficiency, and reliability.
Engineered for flexibility, the paper S is a compact, user-friendly system that can be seamlessly integrated into existing production lines or operated independently. Its space-saving design makes it particularly suitable for facilities with limited floor space.
The machine wraps products using kraft paper with an overlap technique and optimized hot-melt gluing, ensuring stable and secure packaging for transport and handling. This enables manufacturers to transition away from shrink film and excessive cardboard usage without compromising supply chain performance.
In addition to reducing material costs, the system also delivers energy savings compared to traditional heat-based shrink wrapping processes. Optional features such as digital printing units, labeling systems, and automation components can be added to customize the machine according to specific operational needs.
The solution has been developed in partnership with Mondi, ensuring seamless compatibility between machine technology and paper materials. During live demonstrations, the system will run using Mondi’s Ad/Vantage StretchWrap paper, a lightweight 70 gsm uncoated kraft paper known for its high puncture resistance, stretchability, and excellent tensile energy absorption. The material is also industrially compostable and recyclable within standard paper streams.
Visitors to interpack 2026 will have the opportunity to witness live demonstrations of the paper S and engage with experts to explore Hugo Beck’s comprehensive portfolio of sustainable film and paper packaging solutions.
According to Jonas Beck, the launch represents a strategic advancement in the company’s sustainability roadmap. Building on earlier innovations such as the paper X series and e-commerce packaging solutions, the new sleeve wrapper further strengthens Hugo Beck’s commitment to helping customers meet evolving environmental and regulatory requirements.
