TT Inks & Chemicals was founded to bring innovation, consistency, and sustainability to India’s packaging industry through world-class, eco-friendly printing inks.

Corrugman : What inspired the founding of TT Inks & Chemicals and how did you choose the printinginks industry?

Manish Chaudhary : The foundation of TT Inks & Chemicals was driven by a vision to create worldclass, environmentally responsible printing inks that cater to India’s rapidly evolving packaging industry. Having observed the market’s dependence on packaging products and inconsistent quality standards, I saw an opportunity to bring innovation, consistency and sustainability to the forefront. The printing inks sector, being deeply connected with every aspect of the packaging industry, offered the perfect platform to combine technology with creativity and contribute meaningfully to manufacturing excellence in India.

CM : How has the company’s mission evolved since its beginning in response to market and environmental shifts?

MC : Since inception, TT Inks & Chemicals has evolved from a manufacturing-driven organization to a customer-centric, sustainability-oriented company. Our mission today is not just to supply inks, but to offer complete printing solutions that enhance efficiency while minimizing environmental impact. We have integrated eco-friendly practices across our processes—developing water-based and solvent-free formulations to align with global sustainability goals and changing regulatory standards.

CM : What initial challenges did TT Inks face when starting up, and how were they overcome?

MC : In the early stages, challenges primarily revolved around establishing trust in a market dominated by established global brands. Gaining client confidence required relentless focus on product consistency, technical support and continuous improvement. We invested in advanced lab infrastructure, skilled chemists and rigorous testing protocols, which enabled us to demonstrate quality and reliability over time. Today, many of our earliest customers remain our long-term partners—a testament to that commitment.

CM : What are the key products TT Inks manufactures such as water based on inks, coatings and press chemicals and what technologies underpin them?

MC : TT Inks & Chemicals specializes in manufacturing highperformance water-based inks, coatings and pressroom chemicals for flexographic and gravure printing applications. Our formulations are engineered for corrugated boxes, paper cups, kraft packaging and other eco-friendly substrates. These products are built on organic chemical and pigment dispersion technologies that ensure excellent adhesion, gloss and print sharpness across multiple substrates.

CM : What technological or process innovations set your products apart in terms of performance, ecofriendliness and reliability?

MC : We take pride in our continuous R&D that focuses on lowVOC, non-toxic and biodegradable ingredients. Our water-based inks are formulated to deliver high strength, quick drying and superior print clarity—all while meeting stringent global environmental standards. Moreover, our in-house quality control systems ensure every batch meets exact specifications, reducing print waste and optimizing production efficiency for clients.

CM : How does TT Inks ensure consistent quality and performance across different substrates and printing machines?

MC : We maintain consistency through a combination of process automation, precision instrumentation and regular feedback from end users. Each ink undergoes multiple stages of rheological and color testing. Additionally, our technical team collaborates closely with printers to fine-tune formulations as per their specific press conditions, ensuring compatibility and stable performance across diverse setups.

CM : How does TT Inks monitor and anticipate shifts in the printing and packaging market to drive its product strategy?

MC : Our product strategy is driven by proactive engagement with customers, suppliers and industry forums. Regular participation in trade shows and partnerships with packaging converters further help us stay ahead of market dynamics.

The global printing inks market size is anticipated to reach USD 23.8 billion by 2028, reflecting strong opportunities for innovation and sustainable product development.

CM : Can you provide an example of a recent innovation at TT Inks and the impact it has had with clients or applications?

MC : A notable innovation has been our high-opacity, fast-drying waterbased ink range for kraft packaging. Designed for reduced energy consumption and enhanced press productivity, it has helped several clients cut down on drying time and wastage. We have gained a good reputation in printing industries. Our Valuable Customers print for such as Phillips, Amul, Amazon, LG, Voltas, APOLLO Pharmacy, DFM FOODS, KFC, Taco Bell (UK), Kingfisher, Dominos, DS GROUPS (Rajanigandha) and many others.

CM : How does TT Inks integrate R&D, customer feedback and market data to develop new formulations and tailor solutions?

MC : Our R&D team operates on a collaborative model—combining technical analysis with real-world customer trials. We regularly collect feedback from clients on press behavior, color stability and application challenges, which then feeds into our formulation development cycle. This continuous feedback loop ensures innovation that is both relevant and practical.

CM : What business strategies have been most effective in expanding TT Inks’ footprint in India and abroad?

MC : Strategic partnerships, consistent product quality and an ethical business approach have been key drivers of our growth. Though TT Inks & Chemicals is a relatively young company, it is built upon a foundation of deep industry expertise—our core team brings over two decades of experience in ink formulation, printing technology and customer service. This collective knowledge has enabled us to scale rapidly and earn the confidence of clients both in India and abroad. We have established strong distribution networks across major Indian states and are now expanding into export markets in Asia and the Middle East. Our focus on reliability and timely delivery has earned us long-term associations with reputed packaging companies.

CM : How does TT Inks maintain its competitive edge amid pressures from raw-material volatility, regulatory change and global competition?

MC : We adopt a forward-looking procurement strategy by maintaining multiple supplier alliances and localized sourcing where feasible. Continuous R&D ensures that we can reformulate products efficiently when raw material profiles or regulations change.

Additionally, our lean manufacturing system allows us to control costs without compromising quality. A major milestone was the establishment of our modernized manufacturing facility equipped with advanced dispersion and quality control systems.

The other differentiating factors include the business approach, which is based on TT Inks & Chemicals’ QSP (Quality, Services, ecommerce and Price) model since the price, product quality and services are the major priorities of the company. It also positioned TT Inks as a trusted name synonymous with quality in water-based ink solutions.
