The Worldwide supplier of useful products makes this dream believable. We desire to influence heights as a global leader in this business domain.

Corrugman : Could you brief us about Pap-Tech Engineers & Associates?

Ravi Agarwal : Pap-Tech Engineers & Associates was founded in the year 1993 as the prominent firm responsible for Manufacturing and Exporting of Physical Testing Equipment, Paper Testing Equipment, Packaging Testing Equipment, etc. We are offering AMC Service to our clients as well after sales for all our products that we are manufacturing for quality test.

CM : How did you establish yourself as a prominent name in the industry?

RA : My father Mr. V. K. Agarwal (Paper Technologist & CEO), our pathfinder enabled us to become a trustworthy name and to attain immense success and growth in the specified domain. He, along with his managerial skills and visionary assistance helped our professionals to get across with quality approved products and services, at cost-effective budget. Now me Ravi Agarwal (Business Development Director) and my wife Shivani Agarwal (Marketing Director) leading the business to reach new heights in the paper, packaging, and allied industry.

Our Mission & Vision is to provide quality of paper and corrugation boxes to all the manufacturers, traders and end user through our quality lab testing equipment so that correct paper and corrugation boxes can come in use for public in society.

CM : What testing equipment does Pap-Tech manufacture for the corrugation industry?

RA : We manufacture & supply Bursting Strength Tester, Box Compression Tester, GSM Tester, Corrugated Gann Moisture Meter, Delmhorst Paper Moisture Meter, Drop Tester, Ring Crush Tester, Edge Crush Tester, Core Cone Compression Tester, Ply Bond Tester, Vibration Tester, Cobb Sizing Tester, Strip Cutters, Circular Cutters, Punch & Die Cutters, Thickness Micrometer, Stiffness Tester, Folding Endurance Tester, Puncture Resistance Tester, Carton Board Creaser, Concora Medium Flutter, Scuff Tester, Laboratory Hot Air Oven, Muffle Furnace, Bomb Calorimeter etc.

CM : What is Elmendorf resistance tear testing and when is it required for a paper dealing companies?

RA : Elmendorf resistance tear testing is a method used to measure the resistance of paper or paperboard to tearing. This test is

particularly relevant in industries where the durability of paper products is critical, such as in packaging and paper manufacturing.

Here’s a brief overview of the process:

Sample Preparation: A paper sample is cut into a standardized shape, typically a rectangular strip with a notch cut into one end. Testing Method: The strip is then placed in an Elmendorf tear tester, which measures the force required to tear the paper from the notch. The tester typically involves a pendulum mechanism that swings to apply a tearing force to the sample. Results: The resistance to tearing is quantified by measuring how much force is needed to propagate the tear from the notch. The result is expressed in units such as grams-force (gf) or newtons (N).

For companies involved in packaging, Elmendorf testing helps ensure that paperboard and corrugated materials can withstand the stresses they will encounter during handling, transportation, and usage. Paper manufacturers use this test to ensure that their products meet specific durability standards and maintain consistent quality. When developing new paper products or improving existing ones, Elmendorf tear testing helps evaluate changes in materials or processes to ensure that the tear resistance meets desired specifications. Some regulations or industry standards may require tear resistance testing to ensure that paper products meet certain performance criteria.

CM : How technology has improved to test the bonding strength of paper & its ply?

RA : Advancements in technology have significantly improved the methods used to test the bonding strength of paper and its ply, leading to more accurate, efficient, and reliable assessments.

Here are some key technological improvements:

Digital Readouts and Controls: Digital displays and controls allow for precise calibration and measurement. Advanced data acquisition systems provide real-time analysis and can analyze test data more efficiently. Tensile Testers: Updated tensile testing machines offer high precision in measuring the tensile strength and bonding properties of paper and its ply. These machines can apply uniform stress and measure the force required to break the paper, giving detailed insights into its bonding strength. Precision Cutting Tools: Modern precision cutting tools ensure that samples are consistently prepared according to standardized dimensions, which is crucial for accurate and reproducible test results.

These technological advancements help ensure that paper products meet rigorous quality standards and perform reliably in their intended applications. By improving the precision, efficiency, and scope of bonding strength testing, these innovations contribute to better product quality and enhanced manufacturing processes.

CM : How is the accuracy level of measurements derived between analog analog & digital bursting strength tester?

RA : The accuracy of measurements from analog and digital bursting strength testers can vary significantly due to differences in technology and data processing capabilities such as Measurement Principle, Accuracy Factors, Mechanical Tolerances, Accuracy Human Error, and Calibration.

Ease of Use: Digital testers are often easier to use and interpret, with features like digital readouts and data storage that minimize operator errors and improve the reliability of measurements.

In summary, while analog bursting strength testers can be accurate, digital testers generally provide superior accuracy due to advanced electronic measurement systems, higher resolution, and automated calibration. The choice between analog and digital testers will depend on the specific needs of the testing process, including factors like required precision, ease of use, and budget constraints.

CM : Paper INK proofing kit can be used by carton box makers for a effective color matching?

RA : Yes, a Paper INK proofing kit can be very useful for carton box makers aiming to achieve effective color matching. These kits are designed to simulate how colors will appear when printed, allowing for more accurate color control and consistency in the final product. Paper INK proofing kit can enhance the color matching process and ensure high-quality and consistent results in carton box manufacturing.
