Platinum Technologies has launched its latest packaging printing solution, Q-Pack, at the FESPA Global Print Expo held in Barcelona, marking its entry into advanced corrugated packaging and large-format printing applications.

The newly introduced machine is designed for high-performance industrial printing and operates using water-based dye inks. It is equipped with an automatic feeding system and a high-power vacuum mechanism to ensure stable material handling during production. The system is capable of achieving printing speeds of up to 1,000 square metres per hour with a resolution of 400 × 600 dpi.

Q-Pack supports large-format output and can print on boards measuring up to 2.5 × 4 metres, making it suitable for oversized and heavy-duty corrugated packaging applications. According to Jeffrey Jiang, General Manager of the Packaging Division at Liyu, the system has been specifically engineered for very large, long-format, and thick corrugated printing requirements.

He added that the FESPA Global Print Expo served as an ideal platform to introduce the machine and strengthen the company’s presence in the packaging printing sector.

Alongside Q-Pack, Platinum Technologies also showcased four additional systems at the event, including a UV roll-to-roll printer, two flatbed printing machines, and a robotic automation solution, highlighting its broader focus on advanced printing and automation technologies.

The company, formerly known as Liyu Technologies, is currently undergoing a rebranding process to distinguish its Platinum Technologies division in the global market. As part of its expansion strategy, the company has also appointed Soyang Europe as its official distributor in the UK, providing access to its complete range of printing and packaging solutions.
