MotionTech Enters U.S. Market to Expand Automation and Packaging Technology Reach

DALLAS–FORT WORTH: Sweden-based automation provider MotionTech has announced its entry into the United States market, marking a significant step in the company’s international expansion strategy.

The move will bring MotionTech’s portfolio of automation, end-of-line packaging, storage and conveying solutions to customers across North America, building on the company’s established presence in the European market.

As part of the U.S. launch, MotionTech has appointed Kristian Hulgard as Executive Sales Director for the U.S. market, effective immediately. Based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, Hulgard will lead the company’s U.S. operations and oversee its commercial expansion in the region.

Hulgard brings extensive experience in building and scaling commercial operations within the automation industry. His appointment is expected to support MotionTech’s efforts to establish a local sales and service presence in the U.S.

Growing Demand for Automation Solutions

MotionTech’s U.S. expansion comes amid growing demand for automation and material-handling technologies among American manufacturers and distributors.

The company has already completed more than 30 installations for U.S. customers in recent years, including projects involving major warehouse automation partners such as Dematic and KNAPP.

“Customers have repeatedly asked for a dedicated local point of contact for both sales and service,” said Louise Ringström Grandinson, CEO of MotionTech. She added that Hulgard’s appointment provides the foundation for the company to serve the U.S. automation market more directly.

Building a Local U.S. Presence

MotionTech’s initial focus will be on introducing its end-of-line packaging, storage and conveying solutions to American customers. The company plans to gradually establish a broader commercial and service network to support customers throughout their automation projects.

“The US represents an enormous opportunity,” said Kristian Hulgard, Sales Director for North America, MotionTech. He highlighted increasing investments in automation by American manufacturers and distributors as a key opportunity for the company.

Hulgard’s priorities will include expanding customer relationships, developing a distribution network and establishing MotionTech as a long-term automation technology partner in the U.S.

The company said its U.S. operations will begin scaling immediately, with Dallas–Fort Worth serving as the initial base for its North American activities.

MotionTech sees the U.S. launch as a long-term commitment to expanding its global presence and delivering integrated automation and packaging technologies to businesses across North America.
