Interview with Mr. Avinassh Gandhi, Managing Director, Arham Corrugators
Arham Corrugators, Nagpur is the leading manufacturer of corrugated boxes. From the needs of FMCG clients to the textile industry, we cater to all demands.

Corrugman : Could you brief us about Arham Corrugators?

Avinassh Gandhi : Arham Corrugators was started in year 2017 at Nagpur. Initially we started with semi automatic plant, all imported machineries and with 1 ton boiler. We were able to produce 200 tons with semi automatic setup in just 10,000 sq ft shed. We imported 5 ply Plant from Xianguang China and 4 color printing machine from South China in year 2023, started production in Feb 2024. Currently We have installed capacity of 1500 MT tons per month. At present We have factory building Shed of above 50000 sq ft.

We are ISI marked company by Bureau of Indian Standard as well as ISO certified company. We have special permission from Petroleum & Explosives Safety Organization, Govt of India to supply Corrugated Boxes to Explosives manufacturing organization. We have been awarded by Govt of India in year 2024 for consistency in quality of our products delivered in market.

CM : What are your company’s vision?

AG : In Stage I, Arham Corrugators aspires to achieve the status of the premier Corrugated Box Manufacturer in India. Our commitment extends to providing end-to-end packaging solutions, encompassing Concept Ideation, Designing, and Production, all within a unified framework in Stage II which are our vision.

Our state-of-the-art facility is equipped with cutting-edge machinery sourced internationally, marking our commitment for establishing one of the most advanced units in India.

CM : What products does Arham Corrugators offer, and which one is considered as the main product?

AG : We , Arham Corrugators supply Regular Slotted Container , Die Cut Boxes, Heavy Duty Boxes. At Present we are happy to deliver our boxes to EXPLOSIVES units, TEXTILE units, FMCG units, FOOD industry, PHARMACEUTICAL INDUSTRY, DISTELLERIES industry and many more.

CM : May we know the technical features of your manufacturing plant?

AG : We have imported 5ply Automatic Plant of Xianguang China with three A, B, C flutes. We also have in house 4 colour imported Printing Machine. We have customized auto folder gluer and stitcher in which we are able to put paper tape on stitching clips from inner side so that customer product will not be damaged in transit by this pins. In INDIA, this is first machine installed with such features in Pan India.

CM : How does Arham Corrugators optimize strength and material use in slotted packaging?

AG : Arham Corrugators uses different combinations of liner paper thickness, weight, and flute size to achieve specific strength and material requirements. We employ various testing methods to assess the bursting strength and overall structural integrity of our corrugated boxes. With our focus on the properties of corrugated board and employing rigorous testing and quality control, Arham Corrugators create strong, lightweight, and efficient packaging solutions.

CM : How does Arham Corrugators avoid shape defects during die-cutting?

AG : At ARHAM , the die used for cutting is accurately designed and manufactured to ensure precise cuts and avoid distortions from digital Laser cut . Corrugated boards are properly handled in-order to avoid wrinkles or folds in corrugated board, which affect the final shapes of die cut boxes. We also takes regular feedbacks from customers and internal inspections to identify areas for improvement in our die cutting boxes.

CM : When do Arham Corrugators prefer full flap overlap over standard flap designs?

AG : Usually When Heavy Weighted Items or long length items need to be shipped we prefer FULL OVERLAP (FOL) boxes to be used. In-order to avoid struggling with a long piece of tape across a regular slotted container, consider taking advantage of a FOL’s long and durable flaps. These only require two small pieces of tape to secure at the end. You also have the option to add industrial straps for added stability during transit.

CM : How do flute profiles affect strength and cushioning in Arham Corrugators’ packaging?

AG : Flute profiles in Arham Corrugator’s packaging significantly impact both strength and cushioning performance. Larger flute profiles generally provide greater vertical compression strength and cushioning, while smaller profiles enhance structural integrity and printability for retail packaging. The height and density of the flutes directly affect the board’s ability to withstand stress and protect contents during shipping. AG : Arham Corrugators is well equipped with modern testing facilities. All machines like Fully Automatic Compression Strenght Testing Machines, Automatic Bursting Strength machines with automatic clamping, RCT testing machines, GSM tester, Cobb tester, imported moisture meter.

CM : What is your goal in the Industry?

AG : We have expanded from semi automatic to fully automatic plant in 2024, We have vision to bring all types of packaging machines of paper like Mono cartons, offset cartons, paper bags, honeycomb to be manufactured under one shed at ARHAM Plant in coming years.
