Anhui Linping Circular Development has selected Valmet to deliver a complete board making line with automation and lifecycle support for their mill in China.

The new high-speed board line PM 9 is designed for efficient production of lightweight fluting and liner grades, and it will support the customer’s goal to expand their product portfolio while simultaneously improving their resource efficiency and lowering the environmental impact.

The advanced technologies and lifecycle support included in the new delivery, combined with the experience gained from the previous project, will ensure reliable production while supporting Anhui Linping’s strategic targets. Valmet has previously delivered a complete board making line PM 8 to the same customer site in Xiao County, China.

“This investment will strengthen our position in the market while meeting our targets for resource-efficient production. Having successfully collaborated with Valmet on our previous board machine project, we are confident that this full-scope delivery combined with strong project execution and lifecycle support will help us achieve our production and performance targets,” says Li Jianshe, Chairman, Anhui Linping.

The delivery combines advanced board making and automation technologies designed to support high productivity, excellent board quality, and reliable machine performance. The start-up of PM 9 is scheduled for 2028.

“We are pleased to continue our successful cooperation with Anhui Linping Circular Development. This new investment reflects the trust we have built through our long-term partnership and our shared commitment to high production performance,” says Veli-Matti Miskala, Sales Manager, Packaging and Paper Business Area, Valmet.

The delivery includes a complete board machine from headbox to winder. The machine has been designed to achieve excellent runnability and productivity in lightweight fluting and liner production. Advanced layering gap headbox technology enables optimal layer structure and sheet formation. Technologies such as the press with center roll and closed sheet transfer provide continuous web support from the press section all the way to the dryer. In addition, the compact geometry in the predryer section, together with carefully engineered runnability systems, reduces the risk of web breaks and supports stable operation at high machine speeds. The machine’s capacity targets and excellent customer roll quality are ensured with a winder.

The reliable operation and consistent lifecycle performance of the machine are ensured with services and automation solutions. These include spare parts, digital services, and paper machine clothing. Automation solutions will secure production efficiency and support the mill’s progression toward increasingly autonomous operations.

The order is included in Valmet’s orders received for the third quarter of 2026. The value of the order will not be disclosed.
